The Organising Authority advises competitors and supporters of an update to the 2025 IOM Oceania Championship Sailing Instructions. Amendment to Sailing Instructions (4) outlines changes to rules 3.3, 4.5, 5.4, 8.1 of the Sailing Instructions This event will be conducted using the Simple Heat Racing System (SHRS) Version 2023-2, which is available for download in the documents section of this website. Competitors are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the SHRS rules prior to racing. Understanding how heats are structured, how rotation between heats is applied, and how scoring is calculated will help ensure fair and smooth competition for all participants. The Organising Authority advises competitors and supporters of an update to the 2025 IOM Oceania Championship Notice of Race. Amendment to Notice of Race (3) changes the scheduled time of the Prize Giving on Day 6, Saturday 4 October 2025. This replaces the previously published Prize Giving time of 1600 hrs in Section 9 – Event Schedule. The later start allows competitors and officials to complete the final day’s racing and enjoy a more relaxed transition into the evening celebrations. We look forward to welcoming everyone to The Good Home for the presentation of trophies and the conclusion of the Championship. Competitors preparing for the 2025 IOM Oceania Championship at Lake Pegasus, Christchurch (29 September – 4 October) can now secure their measurement and registration bookings. All boats are required to complete measurement and registration prior to racing, and we encourage skippers to book their preferred time slot early to avoid delays. The Sailing Instructions for the 2025 IOM Oceania Championship have been issued and are available for competitors to download. All skippers must ensure they are familiar with these instructions prior to racing, as they form an essential part of the event rules. Any amendments to the Sailing Instructions will be posted on the official notice board at the venue. With the event just around the corner, it’s time to shine a spotlight on the crew making it all happen. From the Race Committee plotting the courses, to the Race Management Team keeping the action smooth, the Regatta Jury calling it fair, the Scoring Team crunching the numbers, and the Organising Authority Team holding it all together — these are the people who make the magic happen behind the scenes. They might not be on the water, but without them, the regatta wouldn’t even get started! As a competitor, your entry fee covers one ticket for you to the Opening Ceremony Dinner and your Race Day lunches and beverages. The Hospitality providers need to know the number of people attending the dinner, and any allergies or food restrictions.
